2010 Challenge Update – February 16, 2010 – 20,000 Leagues Down

Books Read: 1 of 6 to complete challenge.

Progress:
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is done. Can you believe it!? I hardly can. I sat myself down last night, and for several hours powered through the last throes of this seemingly rather large book.

It’s a hard thing determining the length of a book on the Kindle. In all actuality, “20KLUTS” as I shall hereafter refer to it, sure seemed like a lengthy one. Truthfully the book may be shorter than it seemed to me, but it was an odd kind of book. Let me explain.

2010 Challenge Update – February 12, 2010 – SNOW down, SLOW down.

With the LOST challenge over and most of the others progress trackable in larger periods of time, its no wonder why I haven’t posted a 2010 Challange update since the 4th. Since I started my diet on Friday, January 1st, it makes sense at this point to post these updates really only on a Friday to Friday, weekly basis. The numbers have slowed down enough that it makes more sense than posting every few days with a “Holy crap, -0.2!”. The exception will be if I hit any major milestones or goals, or have something else to talk about. That out of the way, lets dive in…

2010 Challenge Update – January Wrap-up

January 2010 has come to a close, so here is a recap of my 2010 challenges progress so far.

Challenge #1: Watch all of LOST seasons 1-5 before the final season premieres on February 2nd, 2010.
Progress: Complete!

As you might have seen in my last post, I finished this challenge right on time. Watching all of LOST again was an amazing experience. It was so great to catch all the little ins and outs the writers stuck in there from the beginning and see where it has all led up to. 2010 Challenge Update – January 27, 2010 – Weight LOST (lol)

Please excuse my small pun in the title, I couldn’t help myself. I have made some major progress on LOST since last update, but I am going to save that for another post so I can really dedicate some thoughts to it in the way it deserves, and likewise for what you will read below. UPDATE TIME!

Challenge #2: Lose weight on the South Beach Diet.
Current weight:
211.0
Current BMI:
29.54
Weight loss from start: -22.7 lbs.
Progress: This has been one of the better weeks of the diet so far. I am feeling good, I can clearly see a difference in my body both inside and out and I am well on my way towards my initial goal. You’ll notice I’ve added “Current BMI” to my numbers above. I talked about how important it was last time, so why not toss that up there too since I’m tracking it.
