Another Friday and another few lbs. shed. The effects of the diet have kicked back in quite well this past week, so here’s the results…
Challenge #2: Lose weight on the South Beach Diet.
Current weight: 197.5
Current BMI: 27.65
Weight loss from start: -36.2 lbs.
Progress: This marks the end of my 8th week on the South Beach Diet and this week’s results rank as the 5th best week of the bunch. Not bad at all. With a total loss of 3.6 lbs. since last Friday, I have hit milestones like dropping under 200 lbs. and 35 lbs. total lost since start. If you saw my last weight loss update, I am also planning to create a second goal of 180 once I reach 190. Especially since 190 is now only a mere 7.5 lbs away. I can’t believe how successful I’ve been in this venture so far, and I can only hope this progress keeps up.
I don’t have a ton to say about this week’s loss in particular. I attribute it mostly to just sticking with the ideals of the diet and not letting myself slip. Of course tonight was a bit of a “movie night”, with some low fat popcorn included, so the scale might be angry with me tomorrow. I’ll just have to wait and see. I am being complimented by co-workers on an ever increasing basis and I am finding more and more clothes that no longer fit me. One sweatshirt in particular now feels like I am wearing a parka instead. I’ll need to do some clothes shopping but I’m going to hold out until I feel I have reached my final goal size.
Also, if you’re wondering about this post’s picture this week, I was looking for something fun and “Friday-ish” and found my favorite lasagna loving cat and figured, “why not?” Anyway, thats all for now, tune in next week!
